WordPress 2.6 Released

In case you haven’t heard by now, WordPress version 2.6 has been released (a month ahead of schedule).

Probably the most prominent new feature is the ability to track changes to blog posts and pages. But rather than explaining it all myself, here’s a quick 3 minute video that will tell you all about it.

We’re almost ready to launch of WPblogger (stay tuned early next week for the official launch date) but to get things started off right, we wanted to give a special bonus to those of you that have been waiting so patiently.

We’ve decided to make a never before released WordPress theme available to all of you for free! Here’s a small screen shot of the Clean & Simple theme:

This theme is only going to be available for a limited time (probably right up until we launch the blog) so you’ll want to be sure to grab it quickly. Alright, the work on WPblogger.com is moving right along. We’ve got some awesome things in the works but I figured I’d take this time, while we’re waiting to officially launch, to ask you what you’d like to learn about, and read about in regards to WordPress. So far I plan on doing some reviews of free and premium themes and plugins, some tutorials and “How to” videos, and obviously keep you up to date on all the WordPress related news as it happens. However, I’d like this blog to be more of a conversation between a group of WP users rather than the “lecture” style of discussion we all grew so fond of in school. So, please, if you can thing of WordPress related content or information that you’d like to see from this blog, drop me a comment in the section below.

Also, if you’d like a sneak peak of the design we’re working on for WPblogger or just want to be notified when we officially launch, drop your name and email in the form below. You’ll be given a link to the design mock-up and will be able to keep tabs on us as well.

Remember, you’ll need to verify your email address before you’re sent the sneak peak so be sure to watch for the confirmation email.
